TEAMCO stands for Teoría y Aplicaciones de Matemáticas Computacionales.

Some of us are part of a wider research group M&CFLAI, from the Department MATESCO,
University of Cantabria.

MILESTONES

2009-2013
Carlos Beltrán joins the University of Cantabria and is awarded the Jose Luis Rubio de Francia prize. The idea of creating a group working on Smale’s 7th problem is brought to the table.
2014
We ask the Spanish Ministry of Science for support. Our project will give us financial support till 2017. The group is created.
2014
Carlos Beltrán receives the Stephen Smale prize from the FoCM Foundation.
2015
Ujué Etayo receives the Best Poster Award in the Young Researchers Conference of the Royal Spanish Mathematical Society (RSME).
2016
Carlos Beltrán, Jordi Marzo and Joaquim Ortega-Cerdà receive the Journal of Complexity Best Paper Award for the article «Energy and discrepancy of rotationally invariant determinantal point processes in high dimensional spheres».
2017
The Banco Santander and the University of Cantabria award us with the grant «Star I».
2017
Juan G. Criado del Rey and Ujué Etayo receive the Best Dissemination Video from the Doctorate School of the University of Cantabria.
2018
We consolidate our finantial support from the Spanish Ministry of Science.
2020
Ujué Etayo receives the Vincent Caselles Prize from the RSME and the BBVA.

Ujué Etayo wins the poster competition organiced by BYMAT2020 and MDPI
2022
Pedro R. López Gómez wins the poster competition of the RSME 2022 conference

Ujue Etayo wins the Jose Luis Rubio de Francia prize, the highest awarded by the Royal Spanish Mathematica Society and the BBVA.
